Tekin Salimi is the founder of dao5, a $125 million experimental cryptocurrency venture fund that will convert into a decentralized autonomous organization. Prior to founding dao5, Tekin was a general partner at Polychain Capital where he focused on research and early-stage venture investments in emergent cryptocurrency protocols and companies. Tekin also previously co-founded and advised the Blockchain Association, the preeminent lobbyist group advocating the policy interests of the blockchain industry within the U.S. Prior to entering the crypto word, Tekin was a lawyer at Torys LLP with a focus in public and private M&A, securities and debt financing. He holds a JD from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto.
