Wild West Mining (PVP) — A Competitive VR FPS Experience

Validated Individual Expert

“Mankind is on the edge of its survival

Nova Corp, in an attempt to ensure a chance to live for every citizen, decided to create the PVP tournament, where Nova Crystals are offered as a price.

From heroes, to failed mutant experiments and poor people seek to participate in the regular tournament and ensure a decent life.

Doesn’t matter the result, here is the human greed!”

This is the message that Nova Corp launches to the Miningverse every week, seeking to reduce the global population, and it is reflected in the PVP game in Virtual Reality that Nova Miningverse will offer to their adopters.

Wild West Mining is a first-person shooter online game that operates as the catalyst for the tournaments apart from the ones organised in Minersia X-32.

Organised on a weekly basis, a Guardian will be needed as a pre-requirement to participate, being obtainable through our website, loot boxes or directly negotiated for Nova tokens ($NMV).

Additionally, players will need to buy the ticket using the Nova coins.

Prizes are paid fully in Bitcoin generated by our mining facilities, just to remind you, so the amount will be fixed prior to the tournament depending on our generated capacity (mining wallet will be public), being the amount gathered in Nova coins burnt to ensure ecosystem sustainability.

About the game? is a well-polished experience on the part of WASD Studio, the developer studio to which we dedicated an article previously. Entirely first-person shooter designed, the action is enclosed in small scenarios, following the trend of gaming referents such as Valorant or Call of Duty.

Every player will count with the same weapons, avoiding the need of balancing different classes, and every round of the tournament will have a different game mode that will narrow the participant list, starting with a deathmatch and ending with a one-to-one duel where only one respawn is granted to each participant.

In-game dynamics such as drone offensive support and static weapon settled all around the map have been implemented, as well as an entire cyberpunk scenario that will serve as a lobby for players to manage their strategies and team before every round.

The entire videogame is developed using the Unity engine and has gone through different phases, being actually at the end of the Beta phase and almost entering the gold one, which means that will be ready for its launch during the second half of 2023.

The recommended assets for a fluid experience are still to be determined, but since Unity is a fully optimized one, we already tested the experience for being accessible to average smartphones, with a straightforward recommendation on the part of the team of Oculus Rift for an optimal experience when it comes to the VR.
