Tesla Investors Want Elon Musk To Stop Wasting Time on Twitter

Validated Media

Tesla investors and fans feel left out after the company’s CEO, Elon Musk, successfully acquired Twitter in late October and started dedicating a good portion of time towards improving the social media platform.

According to a report by Bloomberg, longtime Tesla investors are concerned about how Elon Musk is dividing his time between his many companies, including the Boring Company, Neuralink, SpaceX, Starlink, Tesla and Twitter.

Twitter Has Become a Distraction Away from Tesla

Long-term investor Trevor Goodwin, who started investing in Tesla almost five years ago, has opted to sell a huge chunk of his holdings of the company stock worth around $30k. Mr Goodwin now has about $500 worth of TSLA shares left and stated that he sold due to Elon Musk’s ‘erratic behaviour.’

‘It’s almost like he’s abandoned us in favour of his new mission,’ he said in an interview with Bloomberg. ‘When he announced he was going to purchase Twitter, I was totally against it because it’s a distraction from Tesla and everything he’s trying to accomplish there.’

Earl Banning, another Tesla fan since 2015, said that he had defended Elon Musk over the years, but things have been different since the Twitter acquisition. ‘I believe in Tesla and SpaceX, and I knew this was going to be a distraction,’ Banning explained.

Elon Musk Has Been Busy Releasing ‘Twitter Files’

There is no doubt that Elon Musk is passionate about his new acquisition. A day does not go by without him tweeting about the progress on Twitter, requesting input from his followers or even sharing memes.

Lately, the Tesla CEO has been releasing what has now come to be known as ‘Twitter Files’, which shows that the social media company has, in the past, colluded with politicians and sitting governments to suppress free speech.

Twitter’s Censorship Activities were Hidden From Jack Dorsey

In a December 3rd tweet, Elon Musk promised to release the next instalment of the internal documents and files. In response, Twitter’s founder and former CEO, Jack Dorsey, requested Mr Musk to ‘release everything without a filter.’ Elon Musk then revealed that some of the happenings at Twitter were even ‘hidden’ from Mr Dorsey.
