Cointime Official

In a letter to the court on March 3, prosecutors requested that Bankman-Fried, the former CEO of collapsed crypto exchange, only have access to a non-smartphone, such as a flip phone, and be restricted to a select list of approved websites and online tools related to his defense.

The proposed list includes government websites, Zoom, and several blockchain data explorers. Additionally, The proposed list of personal-use websites includes news sites such as Bloomberg, the New York Post, and The Block, as well as streaming services like Netflix and Spotify, and consumer delivery apps such as Uber Eats and DoorDash.

This request was made after it was discovered that Bankman-Fried had been using encrypted messaging apps and a virtual private network (VPN) while on bail. His trial is set for this fall.
