Validated Project

— — On April 15th, the “Hong Kong Web3 Festival 2023 — Interchain Session” proudly hosted by the Interchain Foundation and organized by Bianjie will be presented at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

As the blockchain industry continues to mature and evolve, it is becoming increasingly clear that interoperability and Interchain functionality will be key to unlocking the full potential of decentralized applications.

On April 15th, the “Hong Kong Web3 Festival 2023 — Interchain Session” will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. This exciting event is hosted by the Interchain Foundation, the stewards of Cosmos, and organized by Bianjie, the long-term core tech contributor to the Interchain Stack, to jointly present a feast for Cosmos Interchain developers and entrepreneurs.

*Hong Kong Web3 Festival 2023 (12–15 April) is a digital asset-focused conference co-hosted by HashKey Group and Wanxiang Blockchain Labs.

This session is held against the background that Hong Kong has been actively increasing its support for Web3 and the crypto industry, with the goal of establishing itself as a global hub for the Web3 and crypto sectors. As a pioneer in Interchain technology innovation and the stewards of the fast-growing interoperable Cosmos ecosystem, Interchain Foundation is making this special offline session to foster discussions and drive the Internet of Blockchains vision closer, further solidifying its leading role in advancing Interchain technology and ecosystem growth.

Furthermore, in this session, some of the most innovative and influential teams and red-hot projects from Cosmos — including Interchain Foundation, IRISHUB, Stargaze, Keplr, Osmosis, LikeCoin, Forbole, Uptick, stakefish, Multichain, Octopus Network and more (in no particular order, and will be subject to further coordination) — will gather to discuss and brainstorm potential avenues for Interchain collaboration, the trends for the Cosmos ecosystem, and its vision of building the Internet of Blockchains.

By bringing together these brightest minds, this event will serve as a catalyst for new ideas and collaborations that have the potential to shape the future of blockchain technology.

There will be more distinguished guests joining us, so stay tuned for updates!

  • Trump to Meet with Mining Executives

On August 7, according to CCTV International News, US President Trump will convene executives from some of the world's largest mining companies at the US State Department on August 7 local time, in an effort to take action to 'secure critical mineral supplies for the US and its allies.' Reuters reported that the US urgently needs critical minerals to replenish weapons inventories depleted during the war against Iran. During the more than five-month war with Iran, the US military expended large quantities of precision-guided missiles and air defense interceptors. US defense officials and lawmakers have warned that given existing production capacity constraints, replenishing some stockpiles could take years—although the Trump administration has denied reports of a so-called 'severe shortage of ammunition stockpiles.' According to Pentagon officials and defense companies, supplies of minerals such as rare earths, tungsten, germanium, and scandium are essential for manufacturing precision-guided missiles, fighter jets, armored vehicles, infrared sensors, and other advanced weapons systems. Expected attendees include industry giants such as global mining giant Rio Tinto Group, Australia's BHP, US Freeport-McMoRan, US Mountain Pass Materials, US Rare Earths, US Energy Fuels, and Canada's Metals Company. According to sources, the Trump administration plans to announce multiple deals and memorandums of understanding.
