Coinbase, a cryptocurrency exchange, submitted an amicus brief backing the motion to dismiss the insider trading lawsuit by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission against former Coinbase product manager Ishan Wahi and his co-defendants.

According to the file, Coinbase asserts that it has provided complete cooperation with the investigation into Wahi, his sibling, and their associate. Furthermore, it suggests that it is also under scrutiny in the case.

Coinbase denies listing securities but says that it would like to "expand its platform to include digital-asset securities", were it not for the “state of uncertainty” in regulation.
