Kennedy believes that Bitcoin is a safeguard against government and corporate intrusion, and people should have the right to own their private keys.

He opposes the creation of a central bank digital currency, stating that it is an instrument of control and oppression that is certain to be abused. Kennedy's comments were made at the 2023 Bitcoin Conference in Miami and reiterated in a recent tweet.
